Limp Mode issue. Long time lurker first time poster. She keeps going in to limp mode (no cruise available and engine check light, wont rev over 3k) but no dtc codes as such (apart from p1000) , says there is a fault but comes up as "N/A", I Have to erase the DTC's to get out of limp mode. DTC P1000 is only an informational code to let the technician know that there is one or more OBD readiness monitors that have not run and completed since the last time that the codes were cleared. Car is a 2002 Jaguar X type, 2.5L, automatic, 54,000 miles. While driving the car went into limp mode. Codes set were P0122, P0222, P1122, P1215, P1241, and P1111. P0122 and P0222 indicated a TP sensor fault.

What does the code DSC Fault System mean on a 2003 x-type 2.5 Jaguar it comes on when the engine is running it doesn't stay on all the time. Could be all sorts of things, you need to get the code read when it illuminates, most good service stations can do this for you at minimal cost.
The P1582 is a code saying the "flight data recorder" has logged a fault and Codes P1582 and P1000 together should not turn the check engine light on, there is most likely another problem with the vehicle that has turned on the check engine light if, in fact, you are having a problem.
Fault codes are listed in the technical handbook, no good to you as it's a Jaguar service item unless you can get a copy of JTIS from ebay etc. Fault Code:- P1638 Indicates a Power-train fault.
